When Interdisciplinary Teams Thrive.

A rhetorical analysis portfolio about communication across disciplines.

ENGL 2311 | Jaydan, Andrew, and Spencer.

Research Question

Under what conditions do interdisciplinary teams thrive rather than struggle? We examine how different audiences encounter evidence about teamwork, functional diversity, communication, leadership, and conflict.

Subject Boundaries

Our focus is collaboration across professional or academic disciplines. Functional diversity concerns differences in expertise and roles; demographic diversity is related but distinct. We use single-discipline teams only for comparison and do not assume all forms of diversity have the same effects.

We compare author, audience, genre, context, purpose, credibility, and reader-centered strategies. We analyze published artifacts. Our proposed medical portal application is a future investigation, not a completed experiment.
